| A Friendship Journey |
Two years after the notable journey of 24.000 km from Bahrain to Great Britain, Ali Mushaima, an editor for travel guides in Bahrain, will lead a team of photographers and writers from Bahrain (or Tylos) to Saudi Arabia, Kuweit, Jordania, Syria, Turkey, in an journey ending in Greece.
This year’s journey of 12.000 klm will end in Thasos on the 7th -8th of July crossing 6 countries, in an effort to unravel the different bonds between Greece and Bahrain. His first stop in Greece will be Kavala, the birthplace of the 19th century Pasha, Mohamed Ali, who belonged to an Ottoman Dynasty with very important and illustrious leaders. Ali Mushaima’s team, in an attempt to discover and project Greece in Bahrain’s travel guides, will explore the northern part of Greece and visit Thessaloniki, Vergina and the island of Thassos. After two months on the road, the team will return to Bahrain. This journey will be a two-way discovery of ancient and contemporary bonds between Bahrain and Greece. Ali Mushaima states that if Alexander the Great probably hadn’t stopped in the archipelago of Bahrain, it is highly possible he sent exploration troops to the country, where it is believed they created the city of Tylos. During this year’s summer, Ali Mushaima will be available for press conferences in the important destinations of the countries he will cross. A fervent supporter of this great journey and idea from Greece’s side, besides the Ministry of Culture, is none other that the company Antigoni Jewellery, whom has developed very close relationships with important members of the business but also artistic world of Bahrain. {gallery}bahrain2{/gallery} |
